Women’s Running is proud to announce the launch of Operation Ultra. We’re looking for three women with good stamina and a positive attitude to take part in an autumn ultra this year, with distances ranging from 31.25 miles to 50 miles. You will…• Have taken part in a spring marathon
• Be injury-free and in good health
• Be happy to have your training progress featured in Women’s Running magazine and online
• Be free to attend a training day in London on 3 July 2013
• Be willing to share your journey on Twitter and blog about your training
• Be happy to appear in video content of your training progress
Who do we want?
You don’t need to be fast or supremely fit, you just need to be injury-free, have banked those marathon miles and be positive and enthusiastic.
If you think you’re up to the challenge, enter our competition to win a race place in any of the races below. If you are fortunate enough to be selected we will provide: • Free entry into the ultra of your choice (from the list below) • Step-by-step training plans from coaching expert Phoebe Thomas • Ongoing training support to get you race-fit • Essential advice on injury prevention • Nutritional advice and support • Apparel and footwear to keep you comfortable during your ultra

31.25 miles – Royal Parks Ultra – 6 October 2013
This attainable distance takes in some of London’s best landmarks, including the River Thames and the five Royal Parks, as you take on 50K of road, river path and trail. www.royalparksultra.com35 miles – Round Ripon Ultra – 5 October 2013
Stunning scenery, picturesque villages and a world-famous heritage site, all in www.gobeyondultra.co.uk50 miles – Dusk ‘Til Dawn Ultra – 26 October 2013
This race in the Peak District starts at sunset and you run through the night, finishing just before 7am. You’ll navigate by torchlight, with an Ordnance Survey map and an interactive map provided, plus a GPS download if you need it.
