Hiya, just wanted to say I've been running with a new WRN group for a few weeks now and wanted to say how brillaint it's been for my training. The majority of people were beginners or people who hadn't run for a while and we have all made huge improvements, it's fun and supportive and caters for all levels, so if there is a group near you I can't recommend it enough!

Hi Alihendo Where in Scotland are you? I work in Glasgow but live in Hamilton and would be interested in a running group. :)

Is WRN not just for England and Wales? I'm in Scotland too - Edinburgh - if anyone is thinking of setting something up.

Yes currently we only have WRN in England and Wales, but don't let that stop you running!

Morning all! Thought I'd post my question here - I've also asked on events but haven't had a response yet. I recently joined WRN and am looking forward to the Better Half at Pippingford Park. From their website it looks as if they do a lot of off road events there - is this a trail half marathon or are there paths? Sorry if the question seems a bit naive!

Hi there. Sorry for the delay in responding. The Better Half at Pippingford is on paths and trails but these are easy running paths. The surroundings at Pippingford are beautiful and weather permitting will be a fabulous venue. The WRN events are always really friendly with lots of encouragement and support for everyone. Of course if you don't fancy the full 13.1 miles you could always enter the relay event with 2 other runners, each running just over 4 miles......

Thanks very much for the response - I now know what sort of shoes to pack! Am looking forward to the event and training is going well (so far!).

Hello all I'm just starting back at running and just wondering if there are any WRN groups near Clitheroe?

Hi there. Have you looked at the WRN website? Go to join in, find a group and search for your region, county etc. If not, how about setting up your own WRN group? I did just that and it was really easy but more importantly helped me with my running. Give them a call on 01392 841148 if you want more info.
